We use an enzyme-based toothpaste in a flavor dogs like, applied with a soft-bristle brush. The enzymatic action continues working even after we're done, breaking down plaque throughout the day.

Yes — we use veterinarian-recommended enzymatic toothpaste that is safe if swallowed. Our soft-bristle technique is gentle on gums. Dogs that resist initially often tolerate it well after a few sessions.
No — professional vet dental cleaning (which requires anesthesia) is different. Our teeth brushing helps maintain cleanliness between vet visits and slows tartar buildup, but doesn't replace veterinary care.
Ideally, teeth brushing is part of every grooming session. At minimum, every 4-6 weeks. Daily home brushing between sessions is also recommended by most vets.
